2026 trauma exchange letter

Shaking the dust off this dreamwidth account to post a letter for an exchange for the first time in a minute. 

I am a huge fan of hurt/comfort and trauma focused stories so I am very excited for this exchange. I will put my DNWs first and then text dump about my various requests below. 

DNW: PWP (explicit content is fine but I need some plot), Hurt caused by a trusted character/friend/parent, Hurt No Comfort, Age regression, things described as ‘fluff’ or ‘crack’

Below you will see a lot of ideas. Don’t feel bound to them! You’re writing for a trauma exchange, I already trust that you have good taste. Run with whatever you want, I just included the things below that make my brain happy.

Santos is my darling girl. I love it when she’s traumatized. How do characters in her life notice and interact with her trauma caused by sexual abuse? What do her bad days look like and how does the team support her? What if she sees people from her past? Or what if she gets assaulted again? Ohhh her coping mechanisms… ohh her not reacting to a new assault in the way that people are expecting because of prior trauma….

The Pitt - Langdon/Santos
Look I gotta put special tags for this one. No one really ships this but something about these two haters addressing trauma through sex is compelling. Haters to lovers to friends? Langdon learning about Santos’ sexual trauma and how that influences their hate sex? Compelling. 

Fandom specific DNW: Santos in a romantic relationship outside of the specific request. She can have casual sex though that’s fine. 

Harry Potter
Paternal hurt comfort is like my favorite thing. A new parent having to navigate the triggers of an abused child? Good content. I like it when the prickly characters have to become soft to take care of their new charge. I like Snape getting mad on Harry’s behalf. Him hiding the hand scarring incident & Snape finding out? Wow…

But this doesn’t have to be a story about Harry! Yknow who else has compelling trauma? Ginny Weasley. They really brush over her in the story but she was possessed for a whole year! She had to live with the Carrows at 17! What did they do to her and her classmates? Torture? Assault? What Implications are there? After the war, how do her parents adjust to supporting a teen with PTSD and physical trauma symptoms?

Outsiders

oh poor sweet Ponyboy. My child you go through so much. Your PTSD must be off the hook. Let’s talk about it… How do his brothers and friends support a teenager with PTSD? How does it manifest? Does it ever have Implications?

Mission Impossible 

Ethan - you can fit so many injuries into such a small man. When they were married, how did Julia react to his nightmares or injury flare ups? She is a nurse, did she recognize anything from her training in Ethan? Was he always closed off? Later on, after they separate, how does Julia react to seeing him again? In such an injured state. With a new lover? 

hypothetically do you think in the future Julia tried to take care of both Ilsa & Ethan…. Everyone has two hands….

The whole team having to nurse injuries and cope with each other’s trauma is really nice
